There’s a moment in every FooN song where the floor drops out from under you — a quiet verse cracks open into a wall of guitars, and suddenly you’re not listening to a band, you’re standing inside one. That’s the trick this Copenhagen four-piece has spent the better part of a decade perfecting, and it’s exactly why we signed them in 2024.

FooN don’t just play alt rock — they’ve carved out their own corner of it under the banner of baddiecore, a genre tag that fits them better than anything a press release could invent. It’s heavy, it’s glossy, it’s unapologetic, and it’s exactly the kind of label a band only earns by sounding like absolutely no one else. As the band themselves put it, they’re here to deliver “the soundtrack to the end of the world.”

FooN make music that refuses to sit still inside a genre. Reviewers have reached for everything from Biffy Clyro to Paramore to The White Stripes trying to pin them down, and they’re all a little bit right and a little bit wrong — which is the point. The band built their sound from the ground up out of rural Denmark, coming together after years in separate projects and a shared obsession with alternative music that didn’t fit neatly anywhere. What’s followed is a catalogue defined by dynamic songwriting, razor-sharp guitar work, and a willingness to let a song go somewhere uncomfortable if that’s what it needs.

Since joining the label, FooN have moved with real intent. We opened with “Bloodstream” a track that paired the band’s heaviest instincts with a genuine pop instinct for melody, immediately giving longtime fans and new listeners alike a clear sense of where the band was headed. “Dark Water” followed and went darker still — moodier, heavier, more atmospheric — and showed a band confident enough to slow down and let tension do the work instead of volume.

Most recently, FooN released “INVISIBLE” their boldest single yet and a clear signal of a band hitting its stride. It’s the sound of a group that’s stopped asking permission and started trusting its own instincts — tighter, more confident, and unmistakably FooN.

All three singles were recorded, mixed, and mastered by Frederik Uglebjerg, whose fingerprints are all over the consistency of this run — that same polished-but-bruised quality across “Bloodstream,” “Dark Water,” and “INVISIBLE” is no accident. It’s a partnership that’s clearly given the band a sonic identity to build on, release after release.

On stage, all of this clicks into a different gear entirely. FooN have built a reputation as a genuinely explosive live act, capable of making a packed club feel like an arena and an arena feel like a hometown show. It’s the kind of presence that turns a one-time listener into a lifer.
